PayHero has a few types of payslip templates available to use. Each type reflects either a different employment basis or the level of leave balance details. The type of payslip used can be specified on an employee by employee basis through their Employment tab.
You can also specify the Default Payslip Type which should apply to any new employees in your company Payroll Settings.
Click on the name of a payslip type below to see what information is included as well as an example of the payslip itself.
The standard payslip template will be used by default for all new employees. This template doesn't include any leave balances and will simply show a breakdown of the employee's pay. Employees will still be able to view their balances through the Employee Portal or Mobile App if Invited Access.
The leave payslip template will display all leave balances for the employee at the bottom of their payslip. The balances are as at 'today', being the date the payslip is downloaded/sent from PayHero.
Any leave that becomes due to the employee in the pay will show as an accrual line in the payslip, and won't be reflected in the balances until later.
Annual Leave balances are displayed in weeks, and also converted to a days balance based on the employee's Days Per Week based on their Work Pattern or Review Period. Learn more about how Days Per Week is calculated here: Annual Leave & Holiday Pay in PayHero
The balances displayed are:
Annual Leave Due - The leave currently due to the employee from crossed anniversaries, less any leave that's been taken.
Estimated Leave in Advance - Shows the calculation of how much estimated leave the employee has, up until today. This leave is not yet due to the employee, and is calculated based on how far through the current entitlement year the employee is. More details can be seen on the Employee's Leave tab.
Estimated Leave Available - The combined total of the employee's Annual Leave Due and Estimated Leave in Advance.
Sick Leave - The amount of Sick Leave days currently due to the employee.
Alternative Leave - The amount of Alternative Leave days (also known as lieu days) currently due to the employee.
Time Bank - The amount of Time Bank hours currently due to the employee. This will only display if Time Bank is turned on for the employee.
The leave payslip (exclude sick) template will display all leave balances for the employee at the bottom of their payslip, except for sick leave. The balances are as at 'today', being the date the payslip is downloaded/sent from PayHero.

The BCTI payslip can be used for GST registered contractors. Please note, a BCTI is only valid if the contractor and employer are both GST registered. The employer must have also received approval from Inland Revenue which you can learn more about through their website here: Tax Invoices.
