PayHero Shift enables your employees to clock themselves in and out, as well as record their unpaid break durations. It's fully integrated with PayHero and allows you to easily automate the recording of timesheet entries for your employees. Shift is available to use at no additional cost for all PayHero companies.
Shift is entirely web based and can be accessed through a range of browsers, on a majority of tablets at shift.payhero.app. You'll be able to login with your existing PayHero account 'Owner' login details.
If you have multiple companies, tap on the company name you want to login for Shift.
Any time entries recorded through PayHero Shift will automatically be recorded against the Default Work set in the employee's Employment Details.
If the employee has no default work, entries will be recorded against the Default Work set in your Payroll Settings under Manage > Settings > Payroll Settings.
Simply tap the green clock in button up the top left of the Clock In page and select the name from the list displayed. Alternatively an employee can select their name from the list of all employees under the clock in section.
The employee will then be able to take a photo of themselves to clock in. A preview of the photo will be displayed with the option of retaking another photo or using the existing one.
Employees who are currently clocked in will be shown at the top of the Clocked In section. To clock out, the employee can tap on their name/photo and press the red Clock Out option. This will prompt taking another photo to finalise the time entry.
If the tablet is connected to the internet, a time entry will be created in PayHero. If the internet connection is lost, any time entries will be stored locally until the connection is restored and can be updated to PayHero.
Taking a Break
When an employee goes on an unpaid break, such as lunch, they can tap on their photo from the Clocked In section and press the "Start Break" pause button. After the break, the employee can simply tap on the play button over their photo. This will log their unpaid break against the total time clocked in.
Selecting History from the navigation bar will show you all time entries for the day. You can view the start and finish times, shift duration as well as the work type it was recorded against. Selecting a date from the calendar bar at the top will display all recorded time entries for that particular day.
