What's New

Payslip Types - PayHero now has multiple payslip templates available for use, allowing you to show all leave balances, no leave balances or BCTI's for Contractors. View an example of each type and the details included in our support article here: Payslip Types.

Adjustable Leave End Date - The end date for partially paid leave requests can now be extended or reduced.

Close Down Period - A close down period can now be processed for staff in their first year of employment. Find out how in our support article: Close Down Period.

Improvements

Unpaid Leave (LWOP) - Unpaid Leave has seen a number of improvements throughout PayHero including:

• Unpaid Leave automatically becomes 'Extended Unpaid Leave' after a week of uninterrupted Unpaid Leave and extends the employee's next Holiday Anniversary date as required.
• Manually added Unpaid Leave pay lines are now editable in draft pays.
• Unpaid Leave will now reduce 'Work Days' for the pay.

Payroll Review Estimations - Increased the accuracy of estimated values displayed on the Payroll > Review screen.

Automated Public Holidays - Public Holidays that fall during Unpaid Leave will now apply if the day would have been an OWD. Public Holidays will not automatically apply during Extended Unpaid Leave.

Estimated Leave on Requests - The Estimated Leave in Advance balance for an employee will now display for all leave requests regardless of date.

Apply Paid Shift Breaks - Automated paid Shift breaks can now be activated directly through PayHero. See our support article: Paid & Unpaid Breaks for more details.

Ordinary Weekly Pay - For salaried employees who are paid Monthly, PayHero now checks whether the calculated Ordinary Weekly Rate (the last month's earnings divided by 4, as specified by the Holidays Act) is only made up of their normal salary earnings. If it is, the calculated Ordinary Weekly Rate will be ignored and the higher of the Normal or Average Rate will be used instead. Learn more about leave rates here. 

Fixes

Daylight Savings - Fixes put in place to correctly handle time entries over Daylight Savings.

Timesheet Calendar Selector - Selecting a date will now jump to the beginning of that calendar week as opposed to starting the timesheets from that date.

Leave From Date - Improved the automated setting of the 'Leave From Date' for migrated employee's to handle additional scenarios such as close-down periods.
